Overview

The capital of Bihar is Patna. This is also the largestcity in Bihar, with a population of over 1.5 million people. Bihar is a statein East India, bordering Nepal. It is divided by the River Ganges, which floodsits fertile plains. Important Buddhist pilgrimage sites include the Bodhi Treein Bodhgaya's Mahabodhi Temple, under which the Buddha allegedly meditated.

Bodh Gaya is a village in the northeast Indian state ofBihar. Considered one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites, it'sdominated by the ancient brick Mahabodhi Temple Complex, built to mark the sitewhere the Buddha attained enlightenment beneath a sacred Bodhi Tree.

Day : 1

Gaya

Arrival in Gaya, transferred to the hotel to take a rest.Later, embark on a sightseeing tour of Mahabodhi temple, Thai Temple, and Bodhitree. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Day : 2

Bodhgaya- Rajgir-Nalanda-Bodhgya

After breakfast at the hotel later an excursion to Rajgir 102km, Rajgir is a site of great Sanctity and significance for Buddhists.Afternoon visit Gridhkutta Hill, Bimbisar jail & Ajatashatru's Fort. Afterlunch drive to Nalanda, 12 km. It was one of the oldest Universities of theWorld & International Centre for Buddist Studies. Nalanda was one of thegreatest monastic universities of the ancient world University was established in the 5th century BC. It is believed that Lord Buddha and also the founder of the Jainismreligion Lord Mahavir taught at this university for years. There is even amonument to facilitate Chinese traveler monk and writer Hiuen Tsang who studiedat this university in the 7th century A. D. After the visit drive back to Bodhgaya.Overnight at hotel.
